How stupid to you think we are?

George Bush says the timing of the Saddam Hussein verdict was not connected to the looming election. From the outset, the Iraq war has been manipulated to perpetuate Republican / Conservative power. The Saddam trial has been no different. But, then again, the Bushies have always assumed we are stupid.

Iraq war is NOT about al Qaeda

Each day it becomes inscreasingly apparent that George Bush's stubborn insistence that the war in Iraq is the centerpost of his so-called war on terror is a fiction that is only believable in his mind. Over the last week or so the news out of Iraq about the open animosity between the Iraqi government and the American military demostrates yet again that the civil war in Iraq is about get backs for who was persecuted under Sadam and for who's going to control the oil money. Al Qaeda is a bit player at best!
